The surrounding area: The white beaches of the Sea of Cortez are about 300 yards from the base camp and easily accessible by foot or vehicle. Los Barriles is known for wonderful fishing, and charters are plentiful.  Los Barriles is also a wind surfing mecca, and on many days the wind surfers dot the bay like dragonflies. Snorkeling is superior nearby at Punta Pescadero MINUTES from Base Camp and Cabo Pulma beaches.  Hiking and bird watching are both favorite activities by visitors to the Los Barriles area.

 

Most areas of the town are accessible on foot, and quads (ATVS) are available for rent by the day or the week.  This allows exploration of the hills and arroyos that surround Los Barriles.  Must not miss – nearby village of Santiago, with its zoo and beautiful town square, San Bartolo a tiny mountainside palm oasis nestled on the edge of a hill, and Buena Vista, reportedly a favorite fishing and vacation spot of the late John Wayne.

All BCS Sportfishing  charters include outriggers, tuna tubes , VHF radios, Furuno Electronics, GPS, Radar,  Fishfinder, live bait tanks, ice chests,  Microwave, fish boxes, gaffs, life vests, and first-aid kits.

Our tackle selection is state of the art with Shimano Tiagra reels and serious Graphite Rods along with Penn International Set-ups.

Also included is insurance, radio communications, fishing licenses, tackle, bait, and a cooler with ice for your lunch and drinks. 

You may choose to bring your own lunch and drinks or let us know before hand and we can bring it for ya. Also if you have any special requests for lunch just let us know. Our food and beverage services is included in our price, choose homemade mexican lunch.

That includes plenty of , water, sodas, snacks, and a truly nice hand made lunch. If you choose to bring your own lunch and drinks no problem, we always have plenty of water aboard for crew and passangers free of charge.

• Gratuities are not included though they are appreciated, they are customarily 10% to 20% for the crew.  Our success is completely dependent on your success. Our promise to you is excellence in service and integrity.

• One thing that sets us apart from other fishing charter services is that we are upfront with our prices and are extremely proud of them. We do not make it look affordable at a first glance and then tack on extra charges at the end. Our fees are straight forward. When you get back from your trip we clean your fish for you at no additional charge. If you would like for us to freeze your fish, package it, and hold it until the end of your trip there is a cost of $10 dollars per person. 

• If you would like to have taxidermy done on your Marlin, Tuna, Sailfish, Dorado, or Wahoo we can refer you to an excellent taxidermist that can take care of that for you.
